千葉真一さん、死去

俳優の千葉真一さんが、新型コロナウイルス感染症の肺炎で亡くなりました。

Renowned action film star Shinichi Chiba died at a hospital near Tokyo due to pneumonia（肺炎） associated with COVID-19. 

He was 82. It said he had not been vaccinated.

刑事ドラマ『キイハンター』などで、60年代に一躍スターダムへと駆け上がりました。

Chiba rose to stardom in Japan in the 1960s, portraying samurai, fighters and police detectives.

He acted in the TV detective drama series “Key Hunter,” which started airing in 1968.

Chiba always took pride in being at the forefront、of Japan's action movie industry. 

In his early movies, filmed before the days of computer-generated special effects, Chiba made the rare move of performing many of his own action sequences rather than relying on stunt doubles.

Chiba taught and choreographed sword techniques during the film’s production.

Chiba is survived by his three children, Juri Manase, Mackenyu Arata and Gordon Maeda, all actors.
