紀平梨花選手、シニアデュー！

フィギュアの紀平梨花選手（16歳）が、圧巻のシニアデビューです。

平昌五輪には年齢制限で間に合わなかった、フィギュアの紀平梨花選手（16歳）が、圧巻のシニアデビュー stunning debut です。

FSで、2本のトリプルアクセルを決める完璧な演技で、日本女子歴代最高点を更新する224.31点をたたき出し、金メダリストのアリーナ・ザギトワを上回り、グランプリシリーズデビュー戦での初優勝を決めました。期待の新星が誕生しました。

Sixteen-year-old Japanese starlet Rika Kihira blew away the competition with a stellar short program at the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final.

「一連の動きが途切れなく、ジャンプの軌道や空中姿勢もきれいで、それを乱さない着氷につなげる、お手本のようなジャンプだった」とトリノ金メダリストの荒川静香さん。

Shizuka Arakawa, who won gold at the Turin Winter Olympics in 2006, described Kihira's triple Axel as a seamless, textbook move with beautiful aerial posture and orbit and a clean landing.

この達成により、紀平は一躍世間の注目を浴びました。

The achievement vaulted Kihira into the public spotlight.

12月の全日本選手権では、連続タイトル＝ back-to-back titles を目指しましたが、スケート靴の調整がうまくいかないこともあり、惜しくも二位に。優勝は坂本花織でした。

 

紀平はトリプルアクセルをトレードマークとする、数少ない選手の一人です。

Kihira says she has a special passion for her trademark triple Axel.

The triple axel is a high-level jump that only a handful of female skaters can land successfully.

スケートの時間を何よりも優先し、高校は通信制を選んでいます。

She spends most of her day training, with 6 hours of skating, plus ballet practice and physical training. She attends high school through correspondence.
